THE INTERFAITH RIDE OF DISCOVERY

Was a Wonderful Experience!

We began our journey at Temple B'nai Shalom. In one voice we sang "Shalom, Salaam." We then traveled by bus to St. Bartholemew's Church. On the bus ride, we met our neighbors and listened to each other's stories. We mingled in the Church's garden room. We then got back on the bus, and met more of our neighbors. Everybody was here for one purpose: to learn about the other. Our final stop was the Islamic Center of Central Jersey. Rush Holt met us there. He spoke a few words, we all observed the call to prayer, other faith leaders spoke words of inspiration, and then we shared in a delicious meal. Thank you to all for a day that we will never forget. This day marked the beginning of new relationships.
