Check-out Hunger: What is it?

Shoppers will find a display of Check-Out Hunger donation slips right at the checkout aisles.  Every $1, $2, $3 and $5 donation slip has its own UPC, just like any other item in the store.  Whenever a shopper makes a donation, the cashier scans the Check-Out Hunger donation slip.  The donation is added to the bill and appears on the receipt.  Please give generously whenever you see the Check-Out Hunger displays.

100% of every Check-Out Hunger donation in our service area comes to the Community FoodBank to help in the fight against hunger.

Where is it?

You can Check-Out Hunger at these participating retailers in our area:

A&P
Foodtown
Kings
ShopRite
Super Fresh
Pathmark
Wawa
Wegmans

Hunger isn’t easy – with CHECK-OUT HUNGER, kindness is.

On FairTrade Print E-mail

The Social Justice committee raised awareness about the principle of Fair Trade and Fair Trade-certified products. We now use Equal Exchange (www.equalexchange.com ) as our supplier for Fair Trade coffee and tea. We held a Fair Trade Information event and would like to plan a Fair Trade fashion show in the future.
