On Advocacy |

The Social Action committee works with our regional URJ group to advocate for different issues at the state and federal level.
On the state level, we are part of our region’s URJ contingent that lobbies in Trenton on our annual Regional Lobby Day.
On the Federal level, we participate in national events, such as:
1. sending our older students to the Reform Action Center’s annual L’Taken seminar in Washington, DC
2. the biennial Consultation on Conscience in Washington, DC, run by the RAC
3. the URJ’s Biennial
4. annual, regional, URJ shabbatons

Israel Religious Action Center |

The Israel Religious Action Center is the public and legal advocacy arm of the Reform Movement in Israel (known as the Israel Movement for Progressive Judaism).
IRAC was founded in 1987 with the goals of advancing pluralism in Israeli society and of protecting and defending the human rights of all Israeli citizens, especially those rights having to do with freedoms of conscience, faith, and religion.
