Social Action

The Social Action Committee at Temple B’nai Shalom brings Tikkun Olam, "Repairing the World”, to our congregation.

We coordinate food and coat drives, along with the Sisterhood, the Little Sisters, and the Religious School. We have a plot in the community garden and every summer, we donate more than 50 pounds of vegetables to the Senior Center. We coordinate several activities which benefit Elijah’s Promise soup kitchen and medical clinic, the Puerto Rican Action League, and Women Aware. We work with the Adult Education Committee to provide interesting programming.
